Acinom - I so your new ring from ERD. I am looking at similar styles for a piece I am working/planning, and might need to borrow some elements of that piece, if you don't mind. I assume it was a custom style? I have never worked with ERD but might need to start.

Like MTG, I was also awaiting a Finewater gem in today's mail, a lovely 1.7 ct tourmaline (and my first tourmaline). It's quite lovely, and a bit lighter in person than this pic shows. I love it! It is a bit more "raspberry" than Gary's pic, but I still love it.

VL, the Mohs hardness of steel is supposed to be 4-4.5, according to Wiki. I assume this is accurate?

I've decided on a setting like this w/the longish tapered French cut baguettes. D&T did a mock up for me and I love it!

Packrat I LOVE that setting with the french cut baguettes. I have never seen french cut baguettes before-stunning with the Asscher.

lambskin, I've never seen tapered ones like that-I just happened upon the picture in a random google search for like..art deco asscher three stone or something-I thought well duh that's not even an asscher, but clicked on it to see it better anyway and I swear my heart stopped. This is the setting that prompted the seafoam search that hasn't turned up much, but now that I have this coming, I dunno that I want to pursue the seafoam.
