Hello my fellow pricescoper's, I have been working with Chris from ERD and no complaints at all. We probably have talked on the phone for over 2 hours combined. Customer service is top notch, he never once tried to upsale. I was interested in one of his royal chandellier antique cuts which was a little more and he told me that I would not want that one. I am pretty nervous, such a big purchase.....well for me at least. I hope she will love it. I just put the initial deposit down and now its CAD production time. Please help me validate this. I hope it turns out perfect. What do you guys think about the setting. Do you think it will sparkle? Below are the links in order from the youtube video of the diamond/the aset and still pictures and specs/the auden setting. She has 5 1/2 fingers so I hope this thing looks huge one her. Check out the actual video of the setting. there is no way it can look that good after completion??? Thanks to everyone that has gotten me to this point. I am so glad its over.

my only thought is that the stone faces up small for the carat weight. seems like a lot of money for s small look if that makes sense

I just did a search of james allens 1.7ct and the one i have faces up bigger than any of theres. However it does seem like ERD is charging about 1000 more. From what I gathered ERD is pretty picky on the diamonds they choose to sale. I dont think james allen screens the diamonds like ERD. I guess I could have sacrificed on depth a little more. however check out this awesome link where you can put in the dimensions and it gives you a plethora of information. I stacked it next to a 1.85 and that stone only faces up 3% larger. Thought?

Thanks, do you think the stone would noticeably face up way bigger with lets say a depth of 65%? The more shallow the less brilliance and light leakage correct?

Oh nooooo, I really did want a stone that faces up large. Thanks, I am glad that i will not be able to tell once set. I still do not see how mine will look like a 1.6 though. It is .11mm smaller than a 1.75 overall. However this chart might be lean. I saw a couple other charts that were not so generous

Cushion diamond size 2.00 carat 7.5 x 7.5 mm. L x W ratio 1.0
my cushion 1.70 carat 7.13 x 6.76mm L xW ratio 1.05
Cushion diamond size 1.75 carat 7.0 x 7.0 mm L x W ratio 1.0
Cushion diamond size 1.50 carat 6.5 x 6.5 mm L x W ratio 1.0
