I'm expecting a bit of a bonus next spring and want to start my bathroom renovation project by replacing the vanity/sink. I've got about 36" to work with and am considering this stainless steel option as I love the clean/modern feel and it really fits the decor/personality of the room. DH is apprehensive. Thoughts?

I would get the black granite countertop. Also, DH and I have always loved this vessel sink. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but we love it.

If I decide not to go with the stainless steel vanity, I'd go with something like this, but without the included sink.

I've been having a hard time finding any others that I like that are a) the right size, b) in my budget, and c) the style I like.

If anyone has any good websites for bathroom vanities I'd appreciate the links. :wink2:

I like the second vanity and I dig that sink!

I'm no help for where to shop for "nice" renovation things-we get our stuff at Menards. :cheeky:

I prefer the second vanity over the stainless steel one for sure. I think I can envision that working better with that sink.

I like the fancy fish sink better than the red one.

Our new home was just finished. We decided an Carrera for the counter tops. More affordable than granite, but will stain..so I'm careful with cosmetic. Also the vessel sinks. Love that look.

There are some great ideas on Houzz

And Pinterest.

I had both bathrooms in my house re-done (remember 1970s cultured marble? in green and gold?) and one of the best things I did was to have the vanities made kitchen-counter height. You get more storage and it really saves your back.

Hey- love the vessel sink!!

I just wanted to weigh in on the granite. We have dark granite (nearly black) and it's the bane of my existence. Maybe you have some already and are cool with it, but I find it impossible to keep looking good. The dark shows every blasted spot. It NEVER looks clean. I'm seriously going nuts with it. If you have the option to go mid-tone, you might consider it. :)

If you do decide to go with stainless anything go and give it what I can the handprint test first. Some stainless things (not all but many of them) really show up every finger and hand print and every little mark and are an absolute pain in the backside to keep looking clean especially if you have kids with little hands and fingers that will be constantly touching the metal, fine dust and dirt sticks to some types of metals more than say a white cabinet I have observed as well.
