If you could only listen to one artist the rest of your life, who would it be? I LOVE Simon and Garfunkle. The sounds of their voices together is just so heavenly!

Good question! And, since you listed two, I'm going to list 3 - because I can't narrow it down to one!

My top three are Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Jeff Lynne (ELO) & Steven Wilson (mainly of Porcupine Tree & Blackfield).

I listen to music every day and it's such and important part of my sound mind/well-being. I've been on a Classical Music kick lately. Last month, it was the '80s. The month before that, it was mellow rock. I just adore music. Except most rap & country music (sorry to all that enjoy it - I used to but I just can't anymore).

If by "favorite musician" you mean an individual, then Elton John, hands down - in particular, his 1st 9 albums and his Live in Australia collaboration with the Melbourne Symphony are long-time go-to's for me.

If "favorite musician" includes a band, then I might be tempted to go with The Beatles or U2.

I cannot choose just one. It's like Sophie's Choice. Unbearable to be in a world without music options.

Having said that I love The Eagles. Also love Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong and Chet Baker. So cannot be without them. Neil Young, John Lennon, Joni Mitchell, Patti Smith, Carole King. OMG I cannot list just a few. They all mean so much. And I haven't even gotten started, Sorry.

I'm with Alexah. Music is such a big part of my well being that I cannot live without all the choices. When I am sad listening to Billie Holiday or Chet Baker lifts me right up. All my moods demand different music for my well being and state of mind. Even country music has a (small) place.

ETA: Just asked my dh and he said if he had to choose just one (and he feels the same way I do) he picks Mozart first Steely Dan second and Alice in Chains third. Moby fourth and Spice Girls fifth. LOL.

It's so hard to name just one, but if I must-------Led Zeppelin.
The young Robert Plant was so incredibly sexy, as well.

Jack Johnson. No matter how crappy my day is, or how anxious I am about something, I can feel my whole being start to relax as soon as I hear the opening chords to one of his songs. I keep an entire folder of his music on the jump drive in my car - it's worth its weight in gold.

Although I do have to say that Lindi Ortega runs a close second to my hubby. http://lindiortega.ca/#music I could listen to her sing and play all day every day. Her voice is so ethereal. I've had the pleasure of meeting her 3x as well. Such a beautiful soul.

At this point in time, I'd have to say Ryan Adams. No way that would last the rest of my life, though. Like Lil Misfit, I'm married to a musician and it's his music that will be the soundtrack to the rest of my life. ;))
