I found this little guy on James Allen while just looking (seriously I was!)
The color seemed even for a lower grade, the depth was nice and the cut could be amazing so I got an aset

Heres what I got from JA.

I'm going to get it home because I just have to see it IRL, I'm concerned it'll feel too small for me, but I'm considering setting it e/w like the setting below and eventually including it in a stack of textured gold bands. So,maybe not that small. I dunno.

Talk me into it? Talk me out of it? I would love your thoughts. Remember this is like half the size of my old mq (now my mothers) but I might even like that it won't compete with my e ring anymore. Hmmmm. Also, I think half carat have a place. So do big honkers but I think a cute little half ct is very sweet too. Any who I'm rambling, your thoughts ??

OH I love that setting...mq have really been growing on me lately bc I was looking at rose cut stones for a RHR.
What are the dims of this? I can't see that in the link for some reason.

It came today. I'm trying to make a smart decision not just automatically fall in love with it, but I really like it!

I had bought a pendent last month but as soon as I opened it (.7 CTS) I was severely underwhelmed. I guess its a good sign I feel the opposite on this one. Also the reason I didn't love my chryso as much as I thought I should was because I wanted more gold, less diamonds. So I think if I set this in a rich gold solitaire, it could finally satisfy me for the time being. I'm thinking sholdt semi bezel. Anyways, here's a pic I snapped

Niel! I love that setting you shared, wow! I've really been thinking about a MQ ring, w/ an E-W setting too. That tape takes the cake though, good idea! I will be following your thread with interest! Have fun with it!
