I don't like it. There are weird things going on under the crown facets in basically all of the pictures and the videos. But I don't know what you're looking for, because I have not seen the rest of your journey...

Thanks

I am comparing this stone with another one

radiant shape, 1.02 carat,
clarity VS2
medium fluorescence
GIA certificated
Measurements5.64x4.91x3.79
table 73%
depth 77.2%

Problem with radiant shaped one is it looked around 0.9 carat even though it weights 1.02carat. Not sure if it is a good buy

I agree; there is something funky going on right under the table facets that I don't like. It is more apparent in the first video due to higher magnification. The FCD is so far away from the camera in the second video that it is practically useless.

When I looked at the first picture of the pear and then clicked on the first video linked to, my thoughts were that it appears to have a hollow central area that gives an effect of looking into a pool (ie a rim and then looking deeper into the stone before the facets start). I'm sorry that's not a technical explanation at all but I've not seen anything like it before. It's quite odd. I think (but am not sure) that a similar thing occurs occasionally in white diamonds and it's referred to as a "fish eye". It certainly does look like that but I've never seen it in a coloured diamond before.

I prefer the radiant. It does face up small though. What's your budget and what are you looking for, exactly? Have you checked with Diamonds by Lauren?
