Plain shank Emilya- does anyone have one?

I'm considering resetting my ering into an Emilya, but am debating two things:

1. Include cathedral shoulders, like this beautiful ring: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/custom-victor-canera-emilya.195919/#post-3569507#p3569507 or keep the original style?

2. Ask for a plain shank or keep the pave? I prefer the look of pave but am concerned that my fingers prefer a plain metal. If it's not a plain rounded band, my fingers tend to feel it, even if it's a plain metal pipe cut, for example. Now it may well be that nothing I've tried on will come close to VC's perfect pave so it might not be a fair comparison. The other thing to consider is that I may upgrade my center stone, which is currently 6.8mm. With a ring size of 3.75 combined with a haloed 6.8mm or larger, will little of the shank be visible anyway, making paveing it a moot point since it may not be visible?

It is entirely up to you, but I personally wouldn't change it.

ETA: That I do love the cathedral shoulders, gorgeous! Just not a fan of the plain shank.

ETA: That I showed the cathedral shoulders to my hubby and he's now convinced that's the Emilya that I should get lol. Thanks for the inspiration and making my decision harder hehe ;-)

I actually really like the cathedral shoulders...I don't recall seeing it before on this style.
As for the shank, I would definitely go with pave, even if you chose to go half band pave. (Personally I chose 3/4) I think the pave shank plays a part in the overall beauty of this design.

The Emilya is a tried and true version of perfection. I would be very hesitant to make changes. That's just me but when something works, it works. I'd be hard pressed to make changes to that ring.

LoganS I absolutely a plain shank halo! I'm sure you know I used to have one.

I they are a lot more casual as well as unique. The slight difference is really subtle but something you never see!

I mean look at Gypsy's. Amazing.

Or look at Luckkys halo

I love them and done right I love them more than the same ol pave halo. :)

I agree! I don't think I'd like a plain shank Emilya as much unfortunately.

I will admit I prefer plain shank halos to have a ribbon of metal around the halo vs plain pave.

I'm biased, but I think plain shank halos are lovely. I do have a preference for cathedral shanks for them. But I've seen non-cathedral and it is lovely as well.

It's a very personal choice. I personally love halo's with plain shanks. Bastetcat's ring is indeed very pretty!!
The Emilya with cathedral is very well balanced.

All the best in finding the best solution for your taste and lifestyle.

This is quite different from an Emilya, but Scarlett1's double halo plain shank ring is one of my all-time favorites!
Ah thank you so much Mochiko :)

I absolutely adore plain shank halo's. Gypsy's, Bastetcats, Luckkys and Alene's are all stunning examples and what made me go for plain. I adore how elegant and unique they are!!
Here is a link to Alene's gorgeous plain shank.

I think a plain shank Emilia in Rose gold would be absolutely devine (sorry going off topic a bit :) )

I don't have one but I have thought about getting one because I hate the way pave feels next to my skin - I have super sensitive skin so it rubs and bugs me. Bastetcat's ring is one of my favourites check out this link;

That's one of my favorite looks, too. I like the pave, and also like the plain.
