Let me know what you ladies think, just bought these vintage 1960s? Akoya choker with 14k and diamond clasp. The clasp was the selling point for me.

The necklace is beautiful, but I'm not convinced you got what you paid for. The pearls in the strands don't match the clasp pearls in color, size or quality. I would take it to an antique jewelry appraiser or send it into PP if this is important to you.

Paid $600 for it, mostly for the diamond clasp. Thinking of having it restrung.

Lovely double strand, the clasp is SO pretty. I would have it cleaned and restrung and I bet it will look even better! Congrats and enjoy!

I too have reservations about the pearls of the choker not matching those of the clasp.

However, I too like the clasp, and would probably have done the same as the OP, as in paying 600 USD primarily for the clasp alone.
