I enjoyed so many beautiful emerald cut rings here and they were very helpful to find my own emerald diamond!
Now I have mine so ready to share it.
This is mine just arrived, which is a special gift from my husband
This is TIFFANY Soleste and this is incrediblly beautiful.
This is my first emerald cut diamond, so while, clear, and shinny with luster, just amazing.
I love halo design for long time and halo goes well with emerald cut as it balances coolness of the stone with a bit of sweetness.
2.8 ct center stone, E, VVS2

I am happy that you like the ratio because this is the ration I love most after extensive research of many emerald cut diamonds of various propotions.
Some like longer stone and other like shorter, I had no idea so I checked many shops like HW, Tiffany, Graff, De Beers, Cartier, local jewerlers, on-line stores, etc. to see emerald cut diamonds in person to see how I like it
After looking various of them, I knew how my stone should look like in terms of ratio, which was around 1.4. And at the same time, I kinda had an idea of how many carat my stone shold be to satisfy my image of desired finger coverage of the stone.
The demention of the stone is: 10.05mm x 7.22mm, so the ratio is 1.39, almost 1.4.
I would say I like it somewhere between 1.3 ~ 1.4

Junestars your fingers must be tiny because that stone looks HUGE!!! I love emerald cuts. That is the first cut I fell in love with cause my mom had one. It's gorgeous. Congrats and wear that boulder in good health.

LLJsmom, let me start by commenting your 15 sec ring and tell you that I would feel the same way with that asscher! I even imagine asscher stones would go great for ear studs too.
Thank you for your comment and my hands are rather big comparing to my friends’ (which I hate) and indeed the ring size is 13.
I think the halo gives additional kicks to it.
And what a wonderful way to be introduced to a beauty of diamonds that is from your mother’s emerald cut ring! I wonder when I first see an emerald cut ring… may be in a movie forgot which one.

Junestars: LOL! I thought it was impossible!! Also, you have the smallest size 7 finger ever and I really think it just doesn't matter. I've seen size 5 fingers that look a little thick and your size 7 that looks sooo tiny!! It all looks perfect to me!
