In your guys's expert opinion what is the maximum amount RB diamond studs can be off in terms of length x width dimension and table%? Is there a rule of thumb?

Also, what is acceptable for length to width ratio as it pertains to RB studs? Would a 1.00 LxW ratio paired with a 1.01 LxW ratio be considered a match or not?

Do you think 8.37x8.39 can be paired with 8.29x8.37?

For me, I don't get too much into the table % etc., I look at overall dimensions. A visual difference is usually perceptible at .2mm. The diff in the dimensions you posted is just outside my personal comfort zone, but maybe it wouldn't bother you?

I would be fine with those dimensions for earrings. I think as long as you are within .25mm you are good. Since these will be sizeable studs the setting might also be able to mask any size difference if it really bothers you.

With diamonds, you're dealing with a natural product, not a piece of plastic extruded from a machine, so some variation is acceptable and maybe even a good thing. The dimensions you cited are about as close as you can get. I've seen signed pieces from major designers off by a lot more than that.

Did your stones come out of two different rings. They will make a pretty nice size studs....

No, sort of a long story. You can read about it in my 'to sell or not to sell' topic :)

As an example, here are some Graff studs with a difference in clarity (VS1 vs. VS2 = difficult to notice) and a 5% difference in weight. And uncertified too.
