This is Buddy. My mom rescued him when he was an outdoor kitty. Don't know his back story. His original name was "Daddy Kitty" but she decided to change it after "Mama Kitty" and the kittens were adopted out. We brought Buddy into our home when my mom had to move. Oh the attitude!
(I'm just thrilled he doesn't jump at every little noise like he used to.... those claws are HUGE )

Oh wow...that pic of Sven from the back looks just like my Tinkie! Her chub is hanging over the sides of the armchair...and to think she was only 5 pounds when we got her!

Oh wow...that pic of Sven from the back looks just like my Tinkie! Her chub is hanging over the sides of the armchair...and to think she was only 5 pounds when we got her!

I love the look on P'Nut as he's sitting there. Almost like "You're holding me because I let you.... "

Isn't it crazy how big they get?
Sven was more than 5 pounds (he was 6-8 months or so) when we adopted him but he had been shaved for his surgery (just the usual snipping...) so the 14 pounds looked like the average sized (maybe slightly large) cat. Comparing then to now is just too funny!

P'Nut lets DH hold him all the time. Me, not so much. My arms aren't big/wide enough to hold all 22 pounds of him securely and he doesn't feel safe. Can't say that I blame him! LOL

I had to go the the Vet today to pick up a prescription for Murry. As soon as I walked in the door this lovely kitty came over to me. Her coloring is like mahogany or spalted walnut. Such a sweet kitty as you can see. Someone had left her in a box in front of the vet's a few months ago. I really wanted to take her home, but murry would have freaked out!

Awwww...what a sweet baby! Is she just a resident cat at the vet now? My vets have always had at least one.

Miss Tinkie had a visit with the groomer today. Here she is afterward, all shiny and silky. I caught her mid-lick because she came home and ate like she hadn't eaten in 3 days. It's exhausting for her to go to the groomer. She is so silent the whole car ride home. LOL

She's looking good now.

Oh VL, I love torties...I would've had a hard time walking away from her, she looks so sweet! If we had a bigger house I'd try and "sneak" another tortie into the herd.

I haven't slept with dogs-or even one dog-in years! Griffin doesn't climb stairs (and our bedrooms are upstairs). We also have to coax him to jump onto things. My husband never allowed our last dog, Biscuit, on the bed. I used to love sleeping with my dog as a child!!! They look heavenly!!!

Yes, he belongs to us, and has for the past 9 years, since he accosted DH in the garage meowing and wouldn't go away. LOL He was a skinny little bugger then, so we had no idea of his growth potential. He really is the size of a small/medium dog. I love my P'nutter Butter!!

LOL. I completely understand. With 3 other cats, I have plenty of toys, beds, cat trees. But, I still bought a ton of stuff for Atticus. Baby has to have his own stuff, ya know?

OMG - I'm in LOVE!! Enjoy him!

We are enjoying him immensely. He is very expressive with his affection -- tons of head butts, body slams, and purrs that shake the floorboards. And he eats the equivalent of a dodo bird daily. Gonna have to take out a loan to keep him in food.
