Montana sapphire

My first Montana sapphire. I have always wanted one but have never really seen any in person, so I don't really know what to compare it to. What do you think?

Wow, its a little chameleon, isn't it?

As to color, Montanas are often known for that steely quality that yours appears to have, so in that sense, yours does look Montana-ish. But in reality, it boils down to what you think of the stone - if you love it, then keep it.

Please tell us about the red stone in your ring.

Thanks ilander I have a topic about my ruby ring. It was my mom's. My Dad bought in Thailand and they told him it was from Burma. I actually picked it up from the jeweler today, I got it resized. I actually asked my jeweler/gemologist what he thought about it and he said he thought it did look Burmese. He had a Burma ruby in his store that he was selling for $5000. He said mine looked a lot like his except smaller.He said my ring would retail for $4000. But like everyone says, only AGL can tell you for sure and I just haven't sent it yet. But my Dad paid like $2000 for it ten years ago. I think it's the ring that started my gemstone addiction.
