The Man Titanium Ring by Bruce Boone
10/07/2013
This is one of the most unique rings ever produced. Crafted from aerospace grade titanium, it is a comfortable and smart looking ring. Hidden inside is an assortment of useful tools. It has a working bottle opener, a straight blade perfect for cutting packing tape or fishing line, a serrated blade for tougher things like nylon strapping or those tough to open electronics heat sealed packages, a saw for cutting plastic and wood, and it has a comb! Although the comb is tiny, it actually does a surprisingly good job on the ‘stache or head! You would be amazed at just how handy this ring is.The ring is custom made, one at a time, in exactly your ring size. We make them in quarter size increments for an exact fit, normally within a thousandth of an inch. The width remains at 9mm. The Brushed finish seems to work best, so I left off those options. The inside of the ring gets a polished finish for comfort. Although the ring can be engraved, the internal lines will affect the letters a bit. I recommend the Roman font if you will be engraving inside. There are brass rivets that hold the plates together, and they add a touch of class.
This utility ring is not to be confused with a mass produced stamped out toy. It is a finely engineered and crafted piece of functional art that takes many hours to make, and one that anyone would be proud to wear. It takes extreme precision and extreme equipment to make this work.

My husband has his wedding ring on one hand and his engineering ring on the other, otherwise this would SO be his for christmas!

As it is, *I* want it! I hope it's okay if I don't have a Y chromosome ....

ETA: Wow, I love almost ALL of their rings - SO cool! https://www.etsy.com/shop/boonerings?ref=l2-shop-info-name

HI:

Somehow I have a suspicion this ring may be more "suited" to me, than my DH. I might get one!

cheers--Sharon

I saw that on Boone's website a while ago and thought it is really cute.

I wonder if he would come up with a lady's version in the future.

Ooo, wonder what the differences would be ... mine would have a little weeny corkscrew instead of a bottle opener, since I'm not a beer lover. And the tiny hair comb would probably be pretty useless for me, so ... tiny loupe? Tiny black light?

Heck, I don't think I want a lady version. I want a jewelry freak version!

Let's see, what would the lady ring have?

Compact mirror
Mascara brush
Vacuum attachments
Driving instructions
Recipe file
Emergency stiletto heal replacement
A tiny titanium ear to listen to gossip
A tiny iron and board

Kenny, running away to don flame suit….

They make corkscrews for little weenys?
OUCH! :o

Personally, I'm deeply relieved they don't make them for huge weenys.

Why would I want a female version when this version has everything I need? Will TSA allow me to wear this on an airplane?

Heheheheh - I think I'll do better with a chatelaine. Loupe, black light, the littlest spectroscope ....

Kenny--lol! You always have the best pics to illustrate your thoughts. I LOVED that Operation game as a kid! I might have to buy it just to test my 36 y/o surgical abilities this year. Ha!!!

Circe, a chatelaine looks perfect for you.

Chrono, I'm not sure, but I think you could get away with that man ring through airport security. I used to make it through all the time with my little Classic Swiss Army knife I kept forgetting to take out of my makeup bag. And that blade was at least twice as long as the one in the ring must be, no matter what size!

I've carried a phillips and flat head screwdriver (almost full sized, not the tiny spectacles type) in my laptop bag on many trips and passed airport security which one could consider as weapons. I suppose if they can overlook that, TSA might overlook my ring too.

This might appeal to my husband.
He hasn't worn a wedding ring since we married 10 years ago, from about five days after we got back from honey
moon.
Unfort, he lost it. I tore the place apart looking for it but he thinks he threw it away with a tissue from his bedside table.
He has refused to replace it or wear a ring since.

Big 10th anni coming up, I have again offered to replace his ring.
So far he has staunchly refused, perhaps I should show him this lol.
