Do you have a picture of an engraving pattern that you really love? I'm hoping to get help on picking a pattern for a ring. Thank you!

I really liked this art deco one on this ring. They called it a "feather"

My favourites are those done by Van Craeynest and Greenlake Jewelers.

Looks like the same place that the ring I posted was from. Terrible seller. :nono:

Thanks, everyone. I'm looking for a leaf motif. I looked at Seven Fingers, and I am off to VC and Greenlake.

Okay, I have a conundrum. I looked at Van Craynest, Greenlake and Seven Fingers (I love his stuff!!!) and the pattern I like is below.

It can only be done on thick bands, and the ring I am working on has a thin band. I think I may have to forego engraving.

I'm guessing you don't just want one row of leaves? Looks like that would fit on a thinner band.

Ditto; have a single row of leaves going down the shank, perhaps the tip of one overlapping the stem of the other slightly.

Hmm, I will see if I can get a sketch or something from the engraver before it goes forward. Otherwise, I will do something like this (graduatedmelee on the shank with milgrain in a chevron). Thank you for all your help!

Pregcurious, just wanted to say I love the last pic you posted - that is such a pretty design - if you don't find and engraving pattern that appeals to you, this might be the way to go, it's such a lovely detail...I can't wait to see your finished piece!

I think this is a similar ring. Looks like leaves and roses?
