Can someone tell me why our pictures are posting sideways???

Not just my thread! Someone posted a pendant and the same result. Is there a glitch in PS software? I posted them straight but they show up sideways...

I don't know, but the last one I tried posting was sideways and I thought it was something I must have done so I cancelled it.

Has PS changed something on their end to auto correct/default? When you post pics on FB, it automatically posts your photos right side up without you having to edit. So, in the past, when I would post a baby pic to both FB and PS, I would have to edit the PS one by rotating it 90 degrees right, but I didn't have to mess with the intended FB pic at all, FB would just fix it automatically. Wonder if that's what's going on here...maybe PS upgraded so we don't have to worry about editing our pics so much? Just a thought.

This only happens to me when I post my own photos from my iPhone. It doesn't happen if I upload a picture copied from the web from any iDevice.

I will alert Andrey to the problem. Please give us as much information as possible. Is this using Tapatalk or the regular website? Is it only on an iphone or also on browsers?

I usually only download from tapatalk. Also, I'm can no longer see pictures forum users upload from a computer on tapatalk, only those that are loaded from the program.

My pictures were loaded directly on safari from my iPhone. I had taken them straight up right before I posted.when I uploaded attachment they turn 90 degrees right.

It may have something to do with these new devices, like iPhones and iPads, that automatically rotate a pic 90 degrees when you rotate the device.

Has anyone gotten a sideways pic on Pricescope that came from your regular computer (NOT a device that automatically rotates pics when you rotate the device) ?

Granted, but maybe there's something about devices with automatically rotating screens that cause this.

I took my pics from my Samsung S3 and emailed them to my laptop to post and they still posted sideways.

All the pics I have uploaded from my laptop in the last few days to PS came out correctly oriented.

It's fine with laptops and desktops but not with my iPhone even though the orientation is correct on my iPhone. Once posted and it looks sideways, it doesn't matter which device I view it from, it remains sideways.

What if you purposefully post it sideways? Maybe then it will come out correctly oriented? At least until the admin can fix the problem.

I had iPhone pics that I transferred to my MacBook with Preview.

My first neckshot uploaded fine. My subsequent neckshots were upside down. What worked for me was opening the picture in Preview, rotating 180, two times, then hitting save. That usually worked for the most part - sometimes I had to repeat the rotating and saving process before my pic uploaded in the same orientation.

This was only my neckshots. Then again, if my jewelry shots were upside down, I wouldn't have noticed as much...

I have found that if I edit the original picture by cropping or open it in a photo editor and crop then put on here it comes out straight but if I just load it from my phone it will be sideways.
