New Dan Stair light blue/purple spinel!

I am so excited about this stone. It is 1.01 ct and 6.3mm across. It is very clear and sparkly and was within my budget! I would love a lighter one in time. If anyone as setting ideas for a ring please let me know! I am thinking platinum. I usually wear yellow or rose gold. Having to get white gold replated bothers me. I was thinking of a simple prong setting with diamond baguettes or maybe a DanielM u prong. Please excuse the uncleaned diamond ring! The other is a demantoid garnet.

I thought there's a type of white gold that doesn't need replating? IIRC, Stuller has the 14K X1 and there's also 18K palladium white gold which are far less inexpensive than platinum.

There's a difference between palladium and palladium white gold so make sure your jeweller is clear on which one you want.

Thanks guys! I am thinking white gold with diamonds in there somehow but I am not sure how. I was thinking DanielM for this one. I am looking for a setting that is not too expensive though, maybe just 1 baguette on either side or small diamonds. I am open to suggestions and also to opinions/critiques on the stone!
