$9k sounds like a lot for a stone less than one carat. The color and clarity are very good. If you love it and think it''s worth it, then I think you should buy it.

Good Luck!

Both seem over priced to me.
Where are you at?
Taxes might be why it seems high some areas have high taxes on diamonds.

Floyde:

Which would be better is a personal issue. The first stone definitely has better proportions. I would not even consider the second stone.

You can go over the 1 carat mark and get a Hearts & Arrow''s GIA or AGS certified diamond in the E/vs-1 range for 9 grand. If your interested the net offers some great H&A''s diamonds (branded & unbranded) at competetive prices.

Branding in some cases comes with a high price tag. There are other branded stones with strict tolerances and quality control at very competetive prices. One of my favorites is A-Cut-Above from Whiteflash. I think they have a 1.04 ct. e/vs-2 AGS certified stone aorund $8400. There are other vendors too. This is just one of many different vendors which frequent this site, it''s just I am partial to Whiteflash and am a 2 time customer.

Hope this helps...

Thanks guys i think i should take my time and find the best buy first. I''m just a little apprehensive about buying off the net. Any recommendations?

I''m in Singapore. I wonder if shipping would be alright.

I do notice that the net has some pretty good stones, for their price.

I would go with WF, I am biased and own earrings, but I think Tomatoe who also frequents this forum and lives in Singapore has purchased from WhiteFlash. You might want to inquire with this vendor directly by contacting John Q or Lesley Harris. I have done business with them twice and have been impressed both times..
