Pearl and Chrysoprase Necklace

Bear with me as I have a number of people to thank for pulling together this gorgeous necklace.

Last year I attended a round table featuring the work of Sherris Cottier Shank at a local jeweler and designer's shop belonging to T Lee.

I could not resist this chrysoprase carving with its fresh green color. So, as March and Spring approached, I decided to have this gemstone set. I had already purchased this 16" strand of ivory oval freshwater pearls from etsy vendor PatriciaSaabDesigns.

Along the way I had also picked up a strand of chrysoprase rondelles.

I sat down with T Lee and she pulled the design together. A chrysoprase pendant mounted in 14k yellow gold and brushed palladium and hanging from a necklace of ivory freshwater pearls, with scattered chrysoprase and vermeil rondelles.

I think the result looks amazing. I'm now ready for spring.

One reason I asked for the brushed palladium, was because I recently had this pearl ring made. It is a 10 mm dark golden South Sea Pearl from etsy vendor IndoSeaPearls and was set by my local jeweler in brushed palladium.

I love wearing this ring, and it looks awesome with my new pearl and chrysoprase necklace.

I just love the color of this bright green stone. And, I am really having fun mixing colored stones with pearls.
