Hi everyone,

I am trying to decide on a diamond for an engagement ring. I have narrowed it down to these 5 choices, but now I don''t know enough to decide which is best. They all seem very similar to me, but the prices vary up to $500.

I like the though of some blue fluorescence so maybe that is the best choice ?

Thanks for any help. I''m new and have been researching for the last two days.

My first suggestion is to keep researching. I''m sure you have learned alot in the last 2 days but I know you could learn a lot more in the next few weeks.
To find out more about all the details check out this link http://diamonds.pricescope.com/ and go to advanced search. It will be worth your time. For example, did you know, "Some diamonds have extremely strong fluorescence and appear oily or cloudy. This is BAD." ? There is also information on polish, symmetry, cutlet, etc.
All of that suggested my favorites are the 2nd and 4th selection you made.

I don''t think those diamonds are very simliar except for clarity, color and weight. It looks like you have deep ones, a shallow one and one that looks promising (#2). The diameters vary from 6.3mm to 6.6mm and the tables do as well.

Personnaly I would lean towards this one in your price range
