I'm in love with your first setting, but this setting seems to suit the stone better! Looks more complete. LOVE the cushion-shaped halo and LOVE how low-set it is! It's amazing and beautiful!!!!

2SH - #2 is so beautiful. I can understand why you love it, I think the profile is more in-line with what you want. I have to admit that I think your other setting is my most favorite on the planet. But, this one is so beautiful too! Did they buy back the other setting or do you keep it?

WOW! What a beautiful setting for your gorgeous OEC!! 2SH, that turned out AMAZING this time! While I really did love the last incarnation, this one is super stunning! I love all the detail and filigree work and the shank is TDF - very lovely - you must be so happy

You guys are the best - thank you so much for the nice compliments! I am definitely enjoying the ring and have no second thoughts about moving on from the last setting! My husband also loves this one and is in awe of the craftsmanship - we still can't believe that this ring was made by hand! Also, this setting does not look overly ornate in real life - of course you see the amazing details when you look closely, but it actually looks quite delicate and pretty despite the finger coverage.
Someone asked about a wedding band - I think I will wear the ring alone most of the time, but I am playing around with a few options in case I'm ever in the mood to be extra blingy. I have an eternity band that I usually wear on my right hand, and while it looks good on its own, it sits too widely off the sides of my finger when paired with the new setting. I may end up buying a super thin, low-profile eternity band to wear with it instead. It also looks kind of cool with two bands - but I would definitely want them to be on the thinner side so as not to take away from the main attraction.
Here are a couple of pics of me playing around with some options...my hand looks kind of awkward because I'm pinching my fingers together trying to hide the wide sides of the eternity band...

EEP - I just bought a Tiffany Metro eternity band on eBay...hoping it's delicate and subtle enough to wear with this setting! Thankfully this seller accepts returns... I will post more pics when it arrives!
