Hi Ivanadiamond!

I used to work in wholesale travel, and much like diamonds there is always a retail mark up! Always ask them how they can shave some off the price .

For Tahiti here are a list of wholesalers who work with Air Tahiti Nui....wholesale means they work with airline and hotel contracts at net rate and so they have leway of how much profit to put on a package. Usually the best way to negotiate is to get quotes and then when you are getting ready to book try and get the price down (by this time you will have formed a relationship with the travel consultants so they are more lkely to be willing to work with you to get a better price).

For Bermuda there is a little less leway since the prices tend to remain pretty steady but I would try
Bermuda Travel for your honeymoon ....you can try TNT but you''d just have to make sure you get a honeymoon specialist that has been to Bermuda.

It''s always best to try a specialist travel company since they tend to work more closely with the hotels and airlines and so you get better advice on where to stay and who to fly with since they deal with the same question every day.

Hope this helps along with Cath''s book marks .

Have fun!

I''ve not been to the South Pacific, but we have been to Bermuda. We live in the southeastern US and it was a quick 2 - 2 1/2 hour flight to what I can only describe as paradise. An expensive paradise, but paradise just the same!

We stayed at the Fairmont Southampton Princess Hotel and it was perfect. This hotel is in Southampton and is perched on top of a hill overlooking the ocean. It''s not an oceanfront property, but overlooks the ocean. The hotel has a beach club at the bottom of the hill, (across the street on the ocean) that is very secluded and surrounded by large rock formations. It is truly a beautiful sight and oh the PINK sand is amazing!!! Fairmont also has a property in Hamilton which is in more of a city setting. The hotel has a water taxi that you have the use of to take you into Hamilton for shopping and dining. It''s a nice alternative to a taxi. Another way to get around and explore the island is to rent a scooter!

One thing of interest is dinner. Bermuda is a more formal destination than many of the other islands. You will more likely than not need reservations, so make sure to do this ASAP. Also, some of the finer restaurants will require Men to wear a coat and tie after 6pm. You can read more about Bermuda and some recommendations here: http://www.frommers.com/destinations/bermuda/0091010001.html

Have fun wherever you guys decide to go
