Update on the sad case. I obviously feel that what the adopted mother did time was wrong. but I'm wondering what were the legal options available? There are situations where a parent, adoptive or biological, cannot take care of a child. I know in the US many states now have safe surrender laws, and children both young and older are placed in foster care situations.
What should she have done, if she felt she could not take care of the child?
What do you think of Russia going to court to collect 2,300 a month for his care?
