Calling all Antique cuts 7+ carats

Longtime lurker here , was wondering if anyone had pictures of or (purchase)links to any antique cut diamonds (mine,euro,etc.) that were 7 carats or over. I'm fiddling around with an idea for a ring and would like to see some honkers!

It makes me happy to look deep into that diamond, that's for sure!

But all the halo's surrounding it - they are too OTT for me. It's perfect for the right person somewhere.

The stone is gorgeous but the setting is insane, and not in a good way.

We did have one member who lived in India I believe who had a 9 carat H OEC. I have no idea how to find their post though, I've tried before.

you could try browsing Lang Antiques-sometimes they have large stones.

Agreed. I think to depends on the quality of the diamond(who wants a huge chunk of dull diamond with carbon spots?) and finger size. For example, I am getting a 3.62 ct oec...but I also have chunky size 8.5 finger, so my ring will look similar to a lot of 1.5-2 cts on all the gorgeous tiny fingers on PS.

I think that is a great size for a larger old cut, armywife. We've seen some beautiful examples such as Brightice's new beauty and yenny's, Zahra's, etc.

Thank DS. I can't wait to get my hands on the diamond...only a few months yet! Then I will have something to take up the enormous real estate on my finger. Lol.

kenny - This comment almost made me wet myself (Perhaps it's the date from when the original owner lost use of their ring finger due to the spread of the ring-or a chronological timeline of how many fingers they retained while wearing it)
