Why is this ruby so much less expensive?

Perusing rubies on the AJS Gems page and this one seems disproportionally less expensive than the others also described as eye clean. I like the brighter red color. I am trying to decide among several ranging from 1.04 cts to 1.23 cts, the price of the one linked above up to $4,200. Let me know what you think. Here are links to the other top contenders:

The first and last look less saturated and perhaps a little more towards the orange than the others (based just on those pics).

Otherwise I don't know... ring and ask!

I agree with Pandora; the first and last stones appear to have an orange modifier, showing a hue more common to red spinels, hence the lower pricing.

This is the problem with buying gems online--it's hard to see the subtleties of color shades. I agree with the assessments above--the $4200 is the most saturated. However, if you like a little big of orange, then you can save a lot of money. If you're buying it as an investment piece, buy what you like.
