I got in the spess and amethyst earlier this week. I really like the ammy though it does sometimes black out, I find it very interesting. It goes from looking purple to blue to a deep midnight color. A little mysterious if you will. 
I was a little disappointed at first in the spess but it's grown on me. It lacks the saturation that my smaller spess has but it's still got very good color and clarity. I *think* I'm going to keep it as the two spess' won't be set side by side anyway. They'll be in two seperate pendants one for me and one for my daughter.
new stones:
2.71ct 9mm round amethyst
1.27ct emerald spessartite
smaller spess is 0.56 cts and 5.2mmx3.7mm
