I found a used palladium setting that is an antique. I like that its older and unique in its own way. I would like to purchase it but it has two broken prongs. The seller says they need retipped. Is this something that can be easily done? Is old palladium just like the palladium they use now? My fear is I get the ring and try to get it fixed but they cant fix it and then Im stuck with a useless setting.

I have had a ring retipped many years ago, mine was in yellow gold, I havent had any problem with mine catching on only thing, but I dont wear the ring that much, the only thing I remember was the setting has 6 prongs and they fixed 2 and they 2 that they fixed were "bigger" then the remaining 4, but it could have been shoddy workmanship, I dont remember, lol
