Keeping The RIng Clean

A few months ago I purchased an engagement ring. It is a 5 stone ring all round brilliant diamonds on a platinum setting. Occasionally when out in a jewlery store my fiance will have it steamed and the difference is tremendous. What can you suggest to clean it on a weekly basis for it to keep the sparkle.

I typically use the Connoisseur jar of jewelry cleaner. (A similar home concoction would be a bit of dishwashing soap in water with a touch of ammonia.)

I keep it on the bathroom sink with a soft toothbrush, and I clean my ring every morning. Take 15 seconds, tops.

Someone suggested Mr. Clean and a blow dryer.

If you like the steam-cleaned effect, you can get that from a home cappuchino machine or from a steaming teakettle.
