Is this a good deal?

I am planning on buying a diamond online with these stats based on an AGS report:

Measurements: 5.88-5.94x3.63mm
Cut: Ideal (Round)
Color: H
Clarity: IF
Carat: .775cts
Table: 56%
Depth: 61.8%
Girdle: Thin to Slightly Thick
Culet: Pointed / None
Fluorescence: Negligible
Crown Angle: 34.9
Pav Angle: 40.5


Price: $4300


Is this a decent deal? I'm not very knowledgable about diamonds but Ive done a ton of reading and it seems like an ok price

Since you have the AGS report, could you post the crown angle and the pavilion angle as well? You should be able to find the numbers on the diagram of the stone

It certainly scores a beautiful 0.5 on the HCA!

. I'm not positive about the price -not a whole lot else out there with those specs- but I don't see a huge reason for concern

. The closest thing I found was a .70 G VVS1 for around $3700.

Now, are you set on having that clarity? You are definitely paying a lot for the IF. You could get a larger stone or a higher color by dropping the clarity a little, or even a lot, and still have a perfectly eye-clean stone where you wouldn't be able to see any inclusions without a loupe. Just something I thought I'd mention...

Well I really don't mind the size but I know I can do a bit better on the color vs clarity. I'm just trying to keep to a budget

Ok, not that there's anything wrong with the stone you posted, but here are a few other nice-looking options, in case you're interested...

Wink Jones has a 0.76 D VS1 listed for $4188 and a 0.80 F VS2 for $3456

NiceIce has a 0.843 G SI1 listed at $3595

Dirtcheap diamonds has this 0.783 E SI1 for $3445

WhiteFlash has a 0.822 F SI1 for $3714.

And GoodOldGold lists a 0.81 E VS2 for $4435...

There are lots of other choices out there too
