Can I 'dull down' rhodium plating?

I had my antique ring 'slightly' rhodium plated, but it wasn't a full plating (still has a nice patina under the filigree and is dark under there), but the metal tone is a lot brighter than the unplated white gold wedding band I am wearing with it, which has a warmer tone.

I realize the two won't ever 'match' perfectly, but is there something I can do to dull down the bright tone of the plating? I only wear the ring during the day (not while I sleep or shower to protect the setting) so the chances of it wearing off with normal wear is not very good...and my white gold rings never 'turn' color on me, so my 'system' is pretty white gold friendly, as in, the plating doesn't wear off on my other rings with wear.

Is there anything I can soak it in or clean it with that will speed up the oxidation process?

I had really debated having it plated at all, I am still happy I had it done, as it does look better than before, but would like some of the newness to fade a bit.

Thanks! :wavey:
