choosing between two princess diamonds - help!

I have narrowed my search down to the follwoing two diamonds. Anythooughts would be appreciated.

1.50, J, VS2,6.49x6.33, D%-67.1, T%-71%, Crown%-7.3 GIA $5566
1.88, J, SI2, 6.77x6.82, D%-71.8, T%-75%, Crown%-10.5 EGL-USA $6252

Is #2 eye-clean? From all angles at close distances?
I'm not crazy about #1 either...

Curious - what do you guys not like about these stones. This will help me in finding one that is better.

The crown height is too low on the 1.5.

Re: the 1.88, I'm not crazy about bigger tables (I prefer them in the low-to-mid 60s) & the SI2 kinda scares me, unless you're sure it's eye-clean from all angles & from close-up?

Have you looked on the Gem Appraisers website? You can get a general idea of what you should be looking for in princess cuts (go to the cut grading chart for princesses)

1.76ct Princess Cut Diamond, J in color and VS2 in clarity, GIA Certified for $7,095.00 (wire).


The diamond features a 66.2% Depth, 66% Table, Thin to Medium Girdle, Polish and Symmetry – Very Good, No Culet, Medium Blue Fluoresce, the diamond measures 6.92 x 6.92 x 4.58mm.

Waiting on the sarin info.

Interesting. Maybe a little low...but it's sure going to face up very large b/c of the good depth...and I'm sure it's still going to be a nice stone. I would be VERY tempted!!!

Typed info for the wrong stone!

The correct Sarin info is Crown 9.7% Paviliion 55.2%
