If you have a diamond with which is Triple AGS Ideal (cut, polish, sym), HCA well under 2.0 and an has an AGA 1A rating?

Rare - sometimes AGS let a stone like this that had an 'indexed' girdle through.
It is sort of the opposite of an 8* or ACA newline.
AGS are aware of this now and I think would not let it through. They certainly will not be with their new system.
I doubt you will find a stone with the new grades next year that will be AGS 0 and have a bad IS image.

Thanks Gary,

I figured if I followed all of the common recommendations mentioned here on PS for a great cut diamond - AGA 1A, HCA less than 2.0, AGS triple ideal, that I would be "nearly" assured of a great performing diamond - without having to get an ideal scope image.

Of course spending $25 for the basic ideal scope might give me some additional satisfaction in looking at my diamond.
