I''m having a hard time deciding between the 2. Hope that some wise diamond sage could guide me? The rings from (lee hwa)

Here are the characteristics:

0.42ct
F-VS1
Brilliant Cut
Brilliance: gd~v.gd
Fire: Fair
Scintillation:Fair
Spread: v.gd
Depth: 61%
Table: 56%
Crown angle: 15.5%
Pavillion: 44%
Girdle: 4%-md
Culet: pt
Flr: no
Cost: Mounted SGD$1,828
Dimensions: 4.76~4.8 X 3.00mm

0.33ct
E-VVS2
Brilliant Cut
Brilliance: v.gd
Fire: v.gd
Scintillation:v.gd
Spread: v.gd
Depth: 61
Table: 60
Crown angle: 14%
Pav Angel: 43%
Girdle: 4%-md
Culet: pt
Flr: no
Cost: Mounted SGD$1,728
Dimensions: 4.38~4.46 X 2.70mm

The difference is that my ''wife to be'' likes the ring design of the 0.33ct cos it makes her fingers look more elegant. But its a cool 0.09ct difference the $100/ make.

*To the naked eye, both has the same brilliance but when peered through H&A scope (the diamonds were not H&A) the 0.33ct had lesser symmetry than the 0.42ct.

Alternatively, i could get a loose 0.3ct H&A from Tiara and set it for SGD$1920/-.

What say you?

What are these settings like? Anythign wrong with, say. G-VS2 ?

There are better cut diamonds out there, but it must be the ring that must look right in the end
