so I'm still a ways out from my wedding, but we have kind of a unique situation and need to finalize the music pretty soon. I have a very talented
Uncle who has offered to play all our ceremony music, but he needs to have it ahead of time to turn it acoustic, do any rewrites, and practice it (at his shows and whatnot)
So I thought I'd share what we have so far and hope to get some suggestions for the missing songs :) input would be greatly appreciated!
As guests are being seated (I think we need 3 songs, only have one:S): I've just seen a face- the beatles
Bridal party processional: here comes the sun - the beatles
Bride processional: bless the broken road- rascall flats
Signing: from this moment- shania twain (not positive! As its been done so often, I was hoping for at least a little different, but I love it)
Recessional: dancing in the moonlight- a walk to remember soundtrack

I have no clue about bride and groom first dance. NO clue!
For the father daughter dance, its going to be tricky. My dad and I are music snobs. We have the same taste. I want to find something appropriate by either the cure or leonard cohen as they are both of our favourite artists
The mother son dance CLUELESS
And the bridal party dance I was considering: to be with you- mr.big

What are you guys using?
What are some that you've considered?

What a wonderful gift your uncle is able to provide for you by doing the music. One of the highlights of my wedding (10 days ago!) was a good friend of both my husband and I playing violin for all of our ceremony music. It was a mix of a traditional/classical irish music.

For the reception:
First dance: Take me the way I am- Ingrid Michaelson, which is short and sweet
Father/daughter: My wish-Rascal Flatts
Mother/Son: In my life-the beatles

Would have liked (there were issues)
Cake cutting:The sweetest thing- U2

we let the band pick-and my advice is make sure you do it yourself as it was fairly weird for us what they did choose::
Entrance music for bridal party:Going to the Chapel
Entrance music for us: "organ" here come's the bride

We had a harpist for our ceremony and she played classical music as guests were being seated and for the processional/recessional. She also played "Is this Love" by Bob Marley and "Take on Me" by A Ha as the guests were leaving.

For first dance: "Fly Me to the Moon" by Sinatra
Father/Daughter: "What a Wonderful World" by Armstrong
Cake Cutting: "How Sweet it is (to be loved by you)" by Taylor
