It doesn't matter if you work or stay home, if you love and nurture your child, your child will thrive. Everyone needs to do what is best for their whole family.

While it's a great article and interesting study, and really should be a relief to all the ps working moms I know who are just all-around great moms, it still has some sad implications for moms that don't contribute to greatly improving income or who aren't still responsive when they are home, or children who are not in high-quality child care (so basically those who are lower income families to begin with). The article implies that these children do perform worse, which just goes to show that children born into lower-income families have more obstacles to overcome from the get-go and will be fighting an uphill battle from the first year.
