white sapphire

I have been trying to find a white sapphire that is around 2cts. I found some man-made white sapphire rough. Does anyone know where I could get this cut? Thanks!

Most cities have a person or ten who cuts gemstones for a living but it's not a real high profile industry. Check out 'lapidary' or 'gem cutting' with google or in your local yellow pages then give them a call. The small 'mom and pop' style jewelery stores often have a relationship with someone who does this and they may be able to help you out but the big chains rarely want to get involved in this sort of work. If you're not attached to that particular piece of rough, it will almost certainly be quite a bit less expensive to just buy a stone that's already cut because most are using non-US labor for the cutting and, as I'm sure you've noticed, rough white sapphire isn't terribly expensive stuff. The cutting labor is a MUCH bigger issue in terms of cost.
