I finally got around to taking a picture of my fiance''s ring. I know it''s not the greatest but what do you think of the IS image. Can you see where my rough and tough honey banged the upper left prong out of position? Still love the girl!

Nice diamond and nice image.

What setup did you use to take the picture?

Also, I think you should get the damaged prong repaired.

Hi Kevin, I used a Canon A75 which was set to macro. The picture was taken freehand with the Idealscope held to the camera and the ring sitting in its box. Being digital, I just moved the camera back & forth, left and right snapping a few pictures along the way and then finally picking one.

The image looks like the diamond is quite fiery! I love it when a H&A is set in such a way that none of the arrows are obscured by prongs.

That is a great IS picture! No leakage at all!

Do you have other pictures of the ring?
