I don''t know what to think. 2CT natural pink diamond on ebay... The feedback seems promising though, seems like the seller will work with you if it doesn''t test out as the way it''s described.

I can''t afford what I think it should cost lol

A GIA certified natural fancy vivid 2 carat pink diamond with that clarity. Um, think about $200,000 at least.

It looks to be an intense pink, or purplish pink. The thing is that it''s hard to tell because of the glare on the stone. There''s no way he should be selling that without a GIA certificate and stating no treatment. Pink diamonds often have zoning of color too, and that looks pretty even. HPHT treated diamonds are almost always less than a carat, so I highly suspect it''s coated or a simulant (CZ).

hardly - at that size and color I would guess over 100k

but it doesn''t look real to me - 5 pictures and I can''t find a single dispersion. It also looks scratched up.

If I play with my camera, I can get my recent Cancun purchase of so called pink ''amethyst'' to look better than that one.

the problem with getting something like this is it will take like 18 to 25 days to get to you from Brazil so you had better be quick about getting it tested..

Hmmmm lol! a 250,000.00 pink diamond for a few hundred dollars? I'll take a stab in the dark and say it isn't natural

Take a look at the table... looks odd to me. Not a diamond cut one would normally see lol!

I believe the rounded surface of the girdle in both the direction of the girdle and perpendicular to it, as well as the rounded point is a form that is either not possible to cut on a diamond or if it were possible would be an engineering feat of great note.

Of course I say that due to the variability of hardness with direction in the crystal structure of diamond.

Last year, similar color, five carats, 2.1 million per carat: http://www.artinfo.com/news/story/33356/vivid-pink-diamond-shatters-auction-record/ - that pretty much says it all. Two carats would probably cost much less than five, but even if it's 50k per carat...

And here's how much real fancy colored diamonds cost, even on Ebay: http://famousdiamonds.tripod.com/ebaydiamonds.html

Thanks for that bottom link Mr. Ma Rae. I have seen some really nice colored diamonds and huge diamonds on ebay, but they didn't have a 99 cents starting bid at no reserve!! LOL!!

What a bargain

Please don''t buy that "diamond" Amguy. What seller in their right mind would sell a $200K stone for $7K? Besides, the fact he''s in Brazil is scary since you have no recourse if the sale turns out to be a fraud.
