i have a ring that has 16 real diamonds. it has some weight to it so i think its real gold, it apears to be some century old seal but i have no idea where it came from or what its worth, but i can tell its hand crafted, made with real gold and that it has 16 real diamonds here are the pictures:

I looked at your pictures. The first thing I wondered was why anyone would make a seal ring with diamonds! A seal ring should be utilitarian. I did see that the diamonds were set back so that one could ostensibly use the ring without mashing the diamonds, but it seems doubtful that the ring was ever meant to be used as a seal. Where did you get it? Were you hoping to get information about it here? There are some jewelry experts who post here (I am not one of them). Are you new to Pricescope? If so, welcome!

Why are you certain that it is real gold and diamonds? Has it been tested or examined?

Perhaps the experts could give their opinion, but this ring seems off to me.

1 - As AGBF mentioned, seal rings don''t usually have diamond halos. I certainly wouldn''t press that into wax.
2 - The writing doesn''t seem to be reversed, as a seal should.
3 - I may be way off here, but does it say "Guess"? A strange motto, and a very modern usage of the word
4 - The style is too ornate for most masculine rings
5 - The diamonds appear to be modern brilliants, which was developed in 1919

I would take the ring to an independent appraiser who specializes in antique jewelry and artifacts. It doesn''t really look like a handcrafted sealing ring to me, but I am not an expert.
