Do you think it''s easier to just get one of these essential bag kits for the wedding? I''m worried if I do it on my own that something will go wrong and it''ll be the one thing I forgot to include that I''ll need lol....what is everyone planning to include?

I know this is one of the things I''d be most likely to leave til last/forget to do completely so that''s why I''m doing it first ha ha! i win!

I promise this is my last post today i super serial swear :)

This is the best list I''ve found and I love the tip about the stool, I didn''t even think of that! doi!

* Scissors
* Needles and thread (in the colors of your bridal and attendant gowns)
* Safety pins
* Iron and ironing board (if none is available at church or ceremony site)
* Makeup kit (for light touchups)
* Hand mirror and makeup mirrors
* Kleenex
* Smock or towels to protect dresses from last-minute makeup touchups
* Electric curlers and curling iron
* Bobbie pins and combs to anchor veils and headpieces
* Hair spray
* Razor and shaving cream
* Deodorant or antiperspirant
* Dress shields
* Extra nylons in the appropriate colors
* Extra socks for groomsmen and ushers (someone is bound to forget)
* Toys to keep flower girls and ring bearers busy in a quiet way
* Smocks for flower girls and ring bearers to wear over their wedding attire until it''s time for the photos or ceremony (kids will get dirty!)
* Masking tape (for last-minute fix-up jobs on decorations)
* Scotch tape for taping cards to gifts so they don''t fall off
* Lightweight wire (for last-minute repairs on decorations)
* Super glue
* Breath freshener
* Aspirin
* Smelling salts (just in case one of your attendants faints)
* Refreshments (pop, ice tea, juice, everyone is bound to get thirsty)
* Straws (never drink directly from a glass or can; you will undoubtedly spill)
* A hand-held fan for those hot summer months

Put all your supplies for your "Wedding Day Survival Kit" into a carryall bag and put it next to the things that are going to the church. You''ll be glad you have it!

One final tip: Find out whether your church has a stool that you can use in the dressing room. If not, bring one with you. You''ll get tired of standing after you''ve dressed in your gown. If you sit in a chair, you''ll wrinkle your gown. This is where the stool comes in handy! Drape your gown skirt and train over the stool, then sit; no wrinkles!

I''m just doing my own bag, but it turned out to be HUGE because I don''t have all the nifty little travel-size packets. Here''s what I''m putting into mine (this was modified from something I downloaded a while back):

Grooming:
-lotion
-tissues
-cotton balls and q-tips
-my makeup, makeup remover, brushes, etc. in a smaller bag
-nail polish and remover, manicure kit
-lint brush
-curling iron, hairdryer, bobby pins, hair elastics, clips/barrettes, hair gel, hairspray, etc. (my stylist is coming to the venue because the salon is closed on a Sunday, so she requested us to bring our own hair products)
-headband for pulling back hair during makeup application
-toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash
-deodorant, perfume
-electric razor

Clothing:
-Sewing kit
-Tide pen
-tape
-extra pantyhose
-clear nail polish for runs in stockings
-flip-flops (or crocs) for when/if my feet start hurting

Medical:
-first aid kit w/ band-aids, gauze, etc.
-Tums, Benadryl, Aleve, Tylenol, cold remedies (nasal spray, dayquil, cough drops)
-pantiliners, pads, tampons

Other:
-breath mints
-small flashlight
-lists of contact info for participants and vendors
-directions to venue

Yeah, power outage would be a disaster! My flashlight isn''t powerful enough to be good in that situation, but it will definitely help if earrings fall off under a table or something.

Forgot to add a comb and brush to my list...kind of essential, dontcha think?
