I don't think I ever posted my newish 'upgrade'. It's mostly a clarity upgrade: from 0.52 E, Si1 ACA to a 0.59 D, VS1 ACA. I love all the color it throws!!

Basically its a period of cutting inbetween an Old European Cut and a Modern RB - but I will direct you to this current thread over in RT, where some info from a very well informed man named Al Gilbertson has been posted..look for the post about halfway down this page by mbr "Vix".
That should answer your question better than I'm able

I thought I'd add my ring to the mix; it's a .53 RB. My ring size is 9.5 so it's not like it looks super big on my hand; Originally the size was due to budget constraints however with the setting designed the say it is, I wouldn't want a larger diamond. The band would have to be a wider to accommodate a larger sized rock and I like the width the way it is right now.
