There is a thread on this if you do a search. I had 6 treatments on my bikini area and under arms and it still wasn''t enough

They claimed I have stubborn hair folicles when I complained. It is quite painful as well.

Did they give you your money back or are you going back for more treatments? If so, do you have to pay for those? Thanks in advance...

I started a big thread a little while back ago in Family and Home. I think at least 25 or so people responded to it.

People w/ light to olive skin and dark hair do well according to the laser hair co. https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/laser-hair-removal.57886/

Hi, Scarleta.

I had my upper lip and some teeny tiny areas on my chin and neck done by a laser hair removal specialist who works out of my dermatologist''s practice. First, I would recommend ONLY going to a specialist who is recommended by your dermatologist, or some other skin professional you trust. I''ve read far too many horror stories about boutique laser treatments gone wrong.

Back to the point: I had five sessions done over the course of one year, and my last session was over two years ago. I have a few stray hairs on my upper lip now, but I''m not going to go back in for a "touch up" because it is not noticeable at all. My treatments cost $1000 ($500 for upper lip, $500 for chin and neck) and any touch ups will cost $50 a session. I LOVE the results, I have near black hair and fair skin (think Snow White) so I was getting waxed every two weeks, and I''ve already saved money since waxing cost nearly $30 each session.

My mother just had Photopneumatic Therapy, which is a new kind of laser. She has only had one treatment so I can''t say if it works any better than the traditional laser treatment, BUT she did say it was far less painful than the traditional laser. Also, the traditional laser leaves little black sploches wherever the hair follicles were, and the Photopneumatic Therapy did not leave those marks.

I''m going to wait a year to see how my mom''s treatment looks before I decide who to see for my underarms! I can say that once you have one treatment done and you see how great the results are you are going to get addicted! It''s almost as bad as my jewelry addiction!

They gave me my 6th treatment for free. The previous 5 was a package price I paid for in advance. I have light to olive skin and dark hair so just goes to show you everyone reacts differently. I remember skippy''s thread but there was also one I started when I first began the treatments.
