I have been playing around with different pearls and techniques for upcoming art projects. I found I had a few of these very pretty nucleated keshi pearls left (I got them from you pearl).

I hadn't tried to ever make a tin cup, and I had all the supplies for it strewn about I decided to give it a go.

The result. This rough little tin cup. I wore it all day, it has very pleasant colors and weight. Not bad for my first tin cup.

Yeah. I spent all evening last night wire wrapping and cutting, if you look at the wire wrap around the pearls you can see it was done very piss poorly, but it will hold, and did ok with a few extra pearls and silver wire and chainI had laying around.

I've been restless and changing pearls often. This is the other short (as opposed to rope) strand of Tahitians I got during the Aug PP sale. It has strong cherry peacock overtones and wonderful luster.

I wasn;t going to post a picture today because I am wearing my keshi tin cup that I wore yesterday. But Our friend from who lives in Hawaii surprised us with dinner, and more fresh Leis. So i figured the keshi with leis would be different.

Today, my CS pink/peach metallic souffles and citrine tin cup and BF matching earrings. You get the general feel from the pictures but the marvelous green and gold overtones of the souffles are not visible, sadly:

Today was another thing I made myself. I am trying to get proficient at stringing and wire wrapping so all my poor quality attempts go straight into my jewelry chest.

This one is Baroque and nugget white and pink freshwater pearls with Carnelian beads, wire wrapped with sterling wire, and an ammonite pendant.

I've been making jewelry since I was 5 (my mom taught me) but what I am doing with the Pearls is for a specific art focus. I am hand painting pendants, and the necklace is like the frame to the canvas (I am also building custom shadow boxes for each piece). I ask a pretty penny for such pieces so the necklace parts have to look professional and beautiful (And be wearable) so I bought a ton of really inexpensive pearls wholesale to practice on. And the actual necklaces will most likely be with higher quality FW and Tahitian and SS pearls.

Good luck, stringing is really fun! Love to see what you do!
