Tucs, I had forgotten that you had tried the torsade and you did point out your concern at the time about the nacre. Hopefully someone with a little more experience will pipe in. In the meantime, I'll contact PP about it.

I'm curious to know the answer. Maybe torsades are best with inexpensive pearls?

I'm inclined to think it would be safe with these, provided you're not wearing them every day. And I suspect most of us have enough pearls that we won't wear the same ones daily. Once I hear back from PP though I'll post the response here.
