Hi, I''ve found my wedding dress but I had no intention of wearing pearls on my big day and always saw myself in diamonte. But.... I''m just wondering whether a pearl bridal set would look better with the dress??

Opinions please?

well, you should wear whatever makes you happy, but a pearl set would look very nice in my opinion. white pearls with a silver or rose overtone... yummy!

I just saw this picture from futurefashinista''s website of a bride wearing her pearl creations - dangle earrings, dangle necklace and a bracelet -- so elegant and pretty....

but I don''t want to look all lit up like a christmas tree with the tiara, bracelet, necklace, earrings.... so I''m thinking either diamonds or pearls. But what the heck, I''m only planning on doing this once so perhaps I should go all out?

Londongirl... I do agree with you...that less is more. Just have a simple diamond and pearl necklace and earrings which is what I was getting at in the first place. It will look elegant and not overstated at all!

Actually, if it were me, I''d skip pearls and do something more simple, like a diamond by the yard necklace(in any length).

I think silver overtone pearls would be just lovely. My personal favorites are the akoya drops.. something you can also wear forever.. :)

Diamonds by the yard are small bezeled diamonds spaced by a very thin chain. Simple but elegant.

I just went to a wedding where the bride wore a dress similar to yours and had a drop-shaped pearl pendant with matching earrings. It looked sooooo pretty! Not too much, but just enough to really catch the eye in a great way.

I am in the camp of diamonds and pearls for a bride. Here is a pic of my BF's daughter on her wedding. I lend her my earring dangles and my necklace dangles as something borrowed.
