It is early but I wouldn't mind taking advantage of the PP sale and purchase pearls for my DD's communion.

Any suggestions? Budget $500-600.

Looking at these but not sure if I should be looking at a set:

Based upon all my research here this weekend, it seems that the earrings should be a little bigger. My DD is on the larger side and could go up in size.

First communion is around age 9-10 right? If so, I'd suggest a freshwater set. They are much more durable.

Thanks again!

Off this topic: I may select an Akoya strand for me to compare to the FW ones that I purchased even if they are a little over budget with hopes that I do not have a preference for them - lol.

Thank you for the idea, I did not think of colored pearls. Upgrading the earrings would be a good idea. Maybe I can feel her out to see if she has a preference.

I agree with buying freshwater pearls-- and not too costly, either, so she can wear them whenever she likes without anyone getting worried about the pearls being damaged.

Won't her communion dress be white? Seems to me a colored necklace might not fit.

Yes, her dress will be white and I think with pearls would look better.
