Metallic Souffle Insanity renamed Helium Balloon by new Mom:

What?! What is she talking about? How did this happen?

Here's how:

Mrs. Taylor and I were shopping "together" when the first wave of August specials came out on PP. Mrs. Taylor scooped up a couple of items and asked if I wanted one since we were both eyeing the exact same items at the exact same time. Due to a small flaw, one dropped out of the running, leaving Mrs. Taylor with the amazing souffle pendant. Although she offered it to me, I said no, no, you bought it. Try it for as long as you like and if it's not for you, I'd like first dibs.

Mrs. Taylor appreciated the beauty and uniqueness of this piece, but it wasn't quite her style. She prefers substantial heft and weight -- and a single souffle pearl can never achieve that. (Nor can a full double strand, as I know!) I, however, have become a fan of souffles so Mrs. Taylor decided she wanted someone to have it who would both love it and WEAR it.

Oh, I forgot to add. I think of Fire Goddess and the "sister" pearl in transit, "Snow Goddess", as females.

"Helium Balloon", perhaps because we just set our first-born son "free" as he enters college this week, I think of as a young spunky male full of energy, hope, dreams and aspirations that SOAR! The sky's the limit!

IT truly is such a remarkable piece. The uniqueness and beauty cannot be surpassed but it simply did not belong on my neck. All along it was meant to be with Bsomlo...but I'm glad it stopped by my place for a visit! I will say that photos simply cannot capture the depth and intensity of the colors. They are beyond compare. Bsomlo, if I may say so, you wear it far better than I ever could. It looks PERFECT on your neck and I'm much more delighted to have this piece partner with the Fire Goddess (and soon the Snow Goddess) than the other, which looked too similar to the Fire Goddess. This has a completely different personality and I absolutely feel you'll be reaching for it often.

This is so sweet. I'd like to give a shout out to Catherine Cardellini who allowed my pearl love to reach new and unfathomable heights with her amazing talent and inventory. Also to Jenncent-a wonderful friend who has quickly become my twin in pearl lust (and other things!) and has a collection to die for. She is my number one enabler and I adore her!

I thought it would be fun to pay homage to Mrs. Taylor's "robe" shot with the souffle. I must say that her pictures and lighting are better. (Looking at the preview her shots are SO much better! I'm not getting the green -- maybe it's my cell phone...) And I don't have a green robe.
