How do you measure pearls?

Is it the same as gemstones?

Can I use my digital caliper that I use for stones?

Tx.

I lift them up and put them down.

Yes you can. For baroques etc when a vendor describes the measurements it should be those perpendicular to the drill holes.

OK, it's the same, just measure from side to side.

I lift them up and put them down.
