I have no idea about blemishes and overall surface which are typical to akoya :think:. For me they could be freshwaters as well...

Whatever they are they look very lustrous.
If you got them from a reputable online dealer they are what they say they are. From eBay or similar...who knows? V hard to tell from a photo. If they were from the latter and too cheap to be akoyas...well...

These are akoya hands down! The shape the surface all show case grey (blue) akoya

...now they're mine. I could't resist. They are quite small ~8mm, but colour is lovely; some pinkish, some blueish, some greenish. I couldn't capture well the beauty they have. Here is more photos (several :) )
