great traditions, everyone! i''ve had a hard time with this. so i decided on this: my mom and i have had this thing where she gives me a kiss on the cheek and we get a picture at different important events. we have one from most of my high school dances, my college graduation, etc. so, here''s ours from the wedding.

We made our own tradition....instead of a unity candle, we decided to do a "unity didgideroo" of sorts. My husband loves to play and is very good at it, I am far less good at it but I also play a bit (we also make them together). I like it as it reflects the personality and non-traditional atmosphere of our wedding quite well :)
There were a few pictures of us doing this I liked so I just had to pic one already :)

My mom's cousin crocheted me a lucky penny for my dress--she said she had one on her wedding day and it's brought her and her husband luck for the last 35 years. This is it before I pinned it on:

We had a Handfasting ceremony that was preformed by my MIL's best friend who is the woman who married DH's parents. There are 6 chords and 6 cords to represent them. As each chord is read and recited a cord is tied around the couples hands to symbolize unity and the binding of two lives together.
