mmmmm can I just say I love these!!! these are my favorite color. for my theme I think I'd like to go with orange (a la tangerine or the color of tiger lilies) with tiffany blue! yellow would be super cute as well with the tiffany blue if you wanna go lighter blue still!

Can't find them :((

what can't you find?

These shoes..in size 7 or 7.5

 BUT these may be one time only - love the color though!! What kind of flowers would you carry with them? Sorry I'm MIA, work has been hectic. I love love love these http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/enzo-angiolini-tanen-pump/3219256?origin=related-3219256-0-0-2 and my actually buy them... debating.
Oops I missed this post..sorry Mico! If I did Tiffany blue shoes, I think I would do white hydrangeas with a blue ribbon. With the sparkle shoes, it is up in the air.

I wanna get the Enzos too! The girl I know had black, but I like the nude too...and the teal kind of color too!

OMG I just found the most adorable pair of blue and yellow peep toe wedges. They're not really wedding appropriate, but they made me think of you and your blue/yellow colors, Ph!

ETA--here they are http://www.endless.com/Not-Rated-Co...des=242328011&colors=519115011&rnid=519055011

So cute!! Would have been prefect for bridesmaid shoes, of course, not having any bridesmaids!

On another note, this would be a great wedding present to get with my new monogrammed initials :naughty:

sooo this is a little off topic but since I had commented on the pin that madelise posted (which stemmed from this thread) I thought I'd show all you ladies as well! I bought this cute little lace 3/4 dress from asos (because I had a 20% off code and to plan far ahead for my future rehearsal dinner or bridal shower or something) and I really like it...except it has a wonky neckline. I am going to try to exchange it because it looks like the one side is sewn on backwards! here is the original product page: http://us.asos.com/ASOS-Lace-Dress-With-Scalloped-Neck/wjdll/?iid=1678672 (it's the cream one)

lol it is very weird. it's very cute, but definitely too skin-tight for a wedding dress! madelise posted some other good ones that had a similar top on her pinterest.

Bad shoe news ladies!!

I got the sparkly blue Enzos today.....and they are going back :((

I like the height and the shape and the color, but I think they are too much for a short dress. Peeking out of a long dress maybe, but that would be it. My mom took one look and said...oh no!

But I STILL would have kept them as maybes, you might never know with a really really simple dress, BUT they were ALREADY missing a few crystals! Now that is cheap!! So back they go!

HEE HEE Madelise, good thing I went with Zappos!! :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:

I will post a pic tmrw before I send them back...don't want SO to see them!

OMGIZZAWD. I need that dress. Just longer. Do you think I can buy the maxi version and have someone alter it to knee length? I'm worried because it's lace..

does anyone like mermaid style dresses? This Carmen Marc Valvo is on sale from 3k to $909. http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/carmen-...origin=category&fashionColor=&resultback=3178 I love mermaid style dresses, but don't have the figure for it. MUI CUTE!

and another one, a Tadashi Shoji that was 2k now 700$ http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/tadashi...origin=category&fashionColor=&resultback=8494

a Badgley Mischka halter style was 1300 now 400$ http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/badgley...origin=category&fashionColor=&resultback=8916

I like this one ALOT and am tempted to buy it because I love Grecian style dresses and I loveeee light pink. But that much $ for a dress that ISN'T for my wedding is.. well.. not my style =P http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/kathy-h...origin=category&fashionColor=&resultback=3246

oh yes!! I'm sorry, I forgot to respond to your comment on that pin. I think it's totally doable. there's an inner lining so as long as you shorten/hem that and I think if you got the proper shears (or the right person to shorten the lace part) for you, it should be fine!

other dress ideas: http://us.asos.com/Little-Mistress-Lace-Hi-Lo-Dress-with-Belt/y2os0/?iid=2241973
http://us.asos.com/ASOS-Body-Conscious-Dress-in-Lace/y4wqs/?iid=2165370 in nude
http://us.asos.com/ASOS-Skater-Dress-With-Lace-And-Mesh/x2wxj/?iid=1839454 in cream

there are a lot of other cute dresses but a lot of theirs are shorter so probs not so appropriate hehe.

Not yet...it is still kind of inspiring. I need to find that one absolute thing, whether it is shoes or a dress, then I can figure out the rest. If i can't find the right blue shoe, may need to go back to ivory. Or, if the dress is too busy, may need a plain shoe and vice versa. S not sure yet if would just want one color flower, a mix, etc....then we can start defining and eliminating...or HEE HEE making another board of definites! :naughty:

please remind me I have a budget. Please remind me ridiculously expensive shoes are not practical. Please? Because I am in LOVE with these and they are not even blue.....

I like the darker peacock color, seems good for fall. Anxious about the crystal part?

Ok this one isn't reasonable, but I do love them!

Ok these aren't blue either, but they look like they could be really cool..

What do you ladies think?? And can someone please pin them all? I can't pin unless there is a specific pin button...it won't let me drag that pin button, not sure why...

I vote no on these...not a fan of the chunkier heel personally but the crystals alone would worry me!!

obsessed with these heels. didn't realize they were "only" 245 (seems like a steal compared to the others you linked hehehe)...the sky blue version looks cute too!

lol I have no idea how to pin to a link either. I only know how to print screen and upload my own pictures. That doesn't link you to the site when you click it, though 8)

I   the first pair you posted! OMGZAWD it's gorgeous. BUT, practicality speaks that you'll never ever ever wear them again after the wedding, and if you want to be spending that kind of money on shoes, you should be spending it on a pair of simpler black Louboutin pumps.

I like the SW one too, but if again, I think that type of money should be better spent on something you can wear more than just once.. and those little crystals at the peep toe make it quite hard to pull off with normal outfits.

ETA: Here, how about this. Keep your favorite "expensive shoe" in mind, and if you go under budget significantly with all other aspects, like your dress or your other details.. you can then "roll over" those funds that you saved to put towards your "dream shoe".

Ugh, I know. I love love the first pair, they are so wow, it is not even funny. But, yes, where on earth could I wear them ever again?? They would make the simplest bridesmaid dress look amazing and turn it into a wedding dress in a way though.....maybe i could justify If I found a 200 bridesmaid dress...???

I like the SW ones too, but agree, with crystals not sure it makes sense for any thing other than another wedding type function and blue would not be as practical as black might be for that...

Maybe try the BMs and see what they look like?

Also...new bridal salon opening here, so small and elegant....made an appt for Monday...before they are even officially open...! Need to try some stuff on and figure out where I am trying to go with this stuff!

Are you okay with a super simple dress though? I'm positive you can find one under $200.

Where are you located, again? MD? Do they have sample sales at your local boutiques, where the vendors bring a bunch of their sample dresses to show the boutique? They usually sell their dresses at 50+% off. My friend bought *TWO* because she had no idea what type of venue she was going to have, and the 2 came out cheaper than buying 1 later on.

I know they have a lot of these things in NYC, but as a westcoast-er, I'm totally ignorant in how far the east coast states actually are from each other.

Which is more important to you, though? The shoes or the dress? Choose one to focus on, finalize the top 3 contenders, then search for shoes :) I think that'll help narrow it down!

OH! And how is the ring process going?

i. want. these. shoes!!!
- but i still like the pop of blue, and i'm not sure a lace blue version of these would give that effect. I believe if you got these shoes you could wear them with tons of stuff!!! I'm all about them!!! I wish i could wear cute shoes to work :(sad

http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/vince-camuto-grady-pump/3268060?origin=category&fashionColor=&resultback=0
- i like, but not the rhinestones... just doesn't work with this one, maybe if the bow were plain?

http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/stuart-weitzman-necklace-pump/3312352?origin=category&fashionColor=Midnight+Satin&resultback=0
- toe is too small... pretty color though!!! But don't you think a bold or medium blue would pop more?

http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/badgley-mischka-goodie-pump/3251558?origin=category&fashionColor=Royal+Silk&resultback=0
- we always seem to come back to these... may not be a bad idea just to try on so we can see how they look. I like the accent on them, i think it would match a lace dress beautifully

http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/badgley-mischka-roxie-pump/3277583?origin=category&fashionColor=&resultback=0
- think bluuuuee!!!

i can't pin at work. FYI, for those of you who don't have a pin button - if you have firefox you just drag the "pin button" link in their set up to your bar and you can just click that while on the page

pin the ones you like:
http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Strapless-Ivory-Lace-Over-Champagne-Satin-Dress-231M16700
- doesn't flare, pretty though

http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Long-Sleeve-Lace-Jacket-LSLACE
- keep in mind, we can always add a jacket to whatever you find. I personally thing a long sleeve V neck like middletons dress would be pretty, but i'm also a fan of cap sleeves

like dis:

Too bad I don't have any definites yet to divide up on diff boards. I know there is a lot to look at! Thanks so much for all the help, hope it is fun for you guys too. But yeah, we can start dividing I guess.

I wanted to pick a shoe to help pick a dress, but maybe I need to pick a dress first. I think I would love to have a dress with lace on it, that has an awesome lace back, some kind of deep v neck front and maybe a cap sleeve of some sort? I really don't want straplessbut I could poss add straps and I don't want to wear a jacket thing because I don' think the fit would be perfect on something like that.

And I really want short. Personally, I could have fun with a long dress, but it is a very small wedding, and SO really put his two cents in for short. He calls himself a leg guy  he doesn't ask for much so I'd like to, you know, "enhance" his vision so to speak. Knee length ish I think is best. I like some of the tea lengths but maybe more like right below the knee versus mid calf.

The prob is, my taste is too expensive, I am afraid I will fall in love with something crazy expensive. So if that is the case, I would almost rather a very simple plain dress, a la bridesmaid something or other, that is ivory and class and could maybe be turned into amazing with aawesomepair of upshots. Instead of trying to buy something that has a bunch of detail and maybe not all the quality? I guess it all depends how it looks! I love the blue shoe idea, I think it would be great with a short dress and add a pop, but I can't help dream about those Valentinos, wow! Just wow!

I keep hoping I can find something somewhere that somehow is all of the things in a dress and the right price. I am close enough that I could technically go to NY or I could go to DC but I think I would like to try to stay more local if poss. I guess I could search to see if there are any sample sales around coming up.....

But I really just wanted to tell you all how much I appreciate your help. It is really great to find people to discuss all this with since I am keeping it hush hush IRL!

Been reading your thread with interest.

My 2 cents, is to get a simple but on the less expensive side dress, shoes that you could wear again (as a memento from wedding) and splurge on staying the 2 nights at the Inn. I think 2 nights would be more special than a very expensive dress, especially as it is a 2nd wedding.

I didn't meant to offend! I'm the last thing from a clothes person; my wedding dress was a sundress.
As Kenny says, people vary, just 1 person's perspective.
